Thank you for stopping by! The first iteration of this site was Stark Raving Cello: a Blogger site where I took turns opining, explaining, and ranting about whatever came into my 28-year-old brain. The name of the blog was accurate! I continued in a similar vein after securing the emily wright dot net domain, gradually coming to the realization that while my enthusiasm and desire to help music students was only growing, the snide tone and youthful confidence were not the best of me.

Those posts are still available in the archive, but I am starting this newest version from scratch to reflect my evolved (and forever evolving, I hope) point of view, experience, and skills. It is my deepest desire to provide useful and interesting ideas about music and the life lessons it teaches us.
