To have this pressed into my hand after the recital yesterday means more than any accolade a high-level institution could bestow upon me.

  1. After what's happened to you recently, this note really makes all the struggle worthwhile. If I was on the receiving end, I'd definitely be on the verge of tears. Very touching. We all need validating moments like this.

  2. This is one of the best rewards of being a teacher. Knowing that you've had an impact on someone is priceless. These are the sheets of paper you save (forever) and look at during the rough times and get pumped up again to keep going.
