If you (or someone you know) if having a rough go of the cello, dealing with financial difficulties and can’t afford lessons, or maybe feeling a little detached from the instrument or lost on the path, I’d love to start out 2018 by helping in any way I can- so the first 3 people to comment each get 2 Skype lessons (usually 45 minutes, give or take) for free, plus notes describing strategies, specific techniques, and small bespoke studies I prescribe for my students. All levels welcome, from the conservatory grad to bare-bones beginner. Ages 15 and up, please. Lessons will take place in January or February.

Current students not eligible, alas.

Wishing each and every one of you a joyful, edifying, meaningful, healthy year ahead.

    1. I might be able to help in terms of mechanics and ideas about musicality and approach- some of my favorite lessons were from brass players and choral directors. If you’re game, I am. 🙂

  1. Hi Emily,

I’m not sure if the path I’m on is the road to nowhere or if I’m driving home for (next?) Christmas.

Some help along the way would be greatly appreciated!

    Happy New Year!

    1. I’ve already gotten 3 people for the free lessons, alas. I may be giving more away later in the spring, and of course- I do this for a living, so you could always join my studio the usual way. 🙂
