I am thrilled to report that the wonderful people at SCOR! have added me to their faculty for the upcoming Chesapeake camp, taking place July 31-Aug 2.

If you are an adult amateur string player in the general Philly/Baltimore/DC area, this is a must-attend event. I spoke at length with Beth Bultman, who runs the series with her husband Kyle, and I was absolutely blown away by their dedication to bringing conservatory-style instruction to adult learners with an equal commitment to making the experience affordable.

I will be available for private lessons, and will also be giving talks on things like emoting, practice, and stage fright- as well as generally being around for answering questions and talking shop. But that’s not all! There are ensembles specifically designed to address playing with others and musicality- building real ability and cultivating comfort in what can be an unnerving situation.

But wait! There’s more! They have also invited me to teach at the session at Round Top (near-ish Austin, TX) and I have tentatively agreed. This camp is coming up in May, and I am doing everything I can to make it. More details coming down the pike soon. If you are in the area and would like to arrange private lessons during my visit (most likely May 7-8), please send me an email! Participation in the camp is not mandatory if you would like a lesson- so if you are not ready for a camp or below age 18, we can still have a grand time.

Please take this as a personal invitation to participate! I have had students attend previous camps, so I can attest to their quality and delightful nature. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions or would like to schedule additional lesson time before or after camp. General questions for the SCOR! folks? Here you go.

You don’t have to be born with an instrument in hand to partake in the rituals of a conservatory-bound student. Thanks to programs like SCOR!, you have a chance at a fun, immersive and inspiring experience- without breaking the bank.

See you at camp!

    1. Eeeee! Long time no see. You’re the whole reason I had a fabulous detour to Miami. Can’t wait to geek it up with you. 🙂
